Our Technology Risk practice within EY Assurance helps clients to achieve sustainable growth by supporting their efforts with respect to addressing emerging technology risks, protecting their business performance, and providing trusted communications on internal controls and regulatory compliance to investors, management, regulators, customers and other stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities
•Participate in the automation of business processes, internal audits using big data, AI and analytics tools, and deliver data analytics services to support risk assessment and audit engagements, such as audit sampling, consistency checks and industry/sector-specific data analysis.
•Perform evaluation of emerging IT technologies and tools, data security and privacy-related audits, and technology risk assessment projects, such as new IT systems and applications (e.g., cloud, IoT), enterprise IT governance, and IT-related risk management.
•Assist in a variety of IT assurance and advisory projects, including but not limited to IT general controls, IT application controls, IT governance, IT compliance assessments, IT project reviews, and cybersecurity assessments.
•Perform integrated risk assessment and controls review over business and IT processes.
•Conduct client interviews to understand business processes, IT system architecture, process flows, risk identification, internal control deficiencies, and provide recommendations on management and technical solutions.
•Prepare working papers, reports and documentation; assist or lead client workshops and presentations; participate in project planning, management and execution.
Requirements: Skills and attributes for success
•Solid understanding of technology risk and data analytics services, with industry knowledge in enterprise IT systems, data and information security, cybersecurity, risk management and internal controls; understanding of enterprise business processes and financial reporting.
•Knowledge and experience in at least one of the following domains is preferred: IT governance and compliance, cybersecurity, internal control review, business process reengineering, or digital risk assessments.
•Experience with new and emerging technologies (e.g., AI, big data analytics, cloud computing) is preferred, with the ability to apply them in risk management and compliance scenarios.
•Familiar with IT systems, data structures and processing logic; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills; capable of multi-tasking and delivering high-quality results under pressure.
•Ability to work independently and as a team player; self-motivated with a passion for learning and innovation.
•Familiarity with IT internal audit or advisory projects is an advantage.
•Hands-on experience in ERP systems and understanding of system workflows and controls is preferred.
•Strong academic background in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Data Science or related disciplines.
•Proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL and Python is a plus; experience in data visualization tools is preferred.
•Relevant certifications such as CICPA, CISA or other professional qualifications in IT assurance is a plus.
•Strong English and Chinese language skills (reading, writing, speaking); CET-4, CET-6, IELTS, GMAT or GRE scores are preferred.
