Key Performance Area / Key Job responsibility

This role is responsible for auditing ingredient and packaging suppliers to ensure the food safety, regulatory compliance and quality of General Mills' ingredients and packaging.

 About 60%-70% need travel, focus on:

1) Implement annual audit plan, follow up team and personal priorities;

2) Be qualified on the requirements of ITAP, onboarding and auditor skills continuum;

3) Become an expert in a specific ingredient or packaging category.

4) Be qualified on food safety risk evaluation and reduction activities and report as well;

5) Support and work hard for deep management program and non-conforming quality improving works on high risk suppliers; push and help them to improve continuously;

 About 30%-40% at office, focus on:

1） Continuous improvement efforts with internal team and external partners to reduce risks and improve product quality; set up influential meetings and discussions as a kind of category regional leader;

2） Risk assessments and root cause analysis and report activities from supplier and market;

3） Internal routine system and supplier database maintenance;

4） Continuous improvement efforts with internal team on supplier system and manual;

5） Updates supplier database after auditing.

Education /Experience/ Knowledge/Skill/Capability Request

- Food engineering or relevant educational background;

- Basic Continuous Improvement Knowledge;

- Potential ability and flexibility to travel >50% of the time on audit;

- Certificated HACCP external auditor experience will be plus;

- Fluent English and experienced office software skills will be plus;

- Plant quality experiences on milk, flavor, nuts and sugar products will be plus;
