General Description
Mainly responsible for differential design of electrical or hybrid drive system, e.g. e-Axle.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for detailed components and subassembly of differential design, and design releasing of 2D/3D and BOM in Teamcenter.
Responsible for Design Release Review (DRR) of differential.
Responsible for TFC sign off, and technical negotiation with the suppliers for the print and specifications, cooperate with GSM and Quality cross function departments.
Responsible for creating and maintaining differential DFMEA, shall use the related product DFMEA’s, Product Safety Goals, and the SC Master List to identify component-level special characteristics (SC’s) in accordance with the Special Characteristics Procedure.
Responsible for creating and maintaining the component Design Criteria Checklist (DCC) and SOR.
Responsible for developing, utilizing, and maintaining the process, methods, and tools required to design and develop a component to meet the functional requirements.
Responsible for establishing and documenting best practices for their component(s) as a result of lessons learned, design analysis, validation testing, performance improvements, 8D’s, warranty returns, customer complaints, or cost reductions.
Responsible for identifying the validation plan required to prove the differential meet all functional requirements and to confirm the results that are predicted by the design analysis.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering is required
At least 3-5 years’ experience in differential development is required
Deep understanding on component design and process of differential is required
Experience to be as the supplier technical interface in EV project is a plus
Good knowledge to utilize 3D CAD software (NX, Catia) for 2D and 3D design releasing
Good cooperation, communication and organization capabilities
Good written and read English is required, Good spoken English is a plus
